With the sport of cycling giving me so much, it’s become natural that I utilise it as a vehicle to give back to others, as many of you will know from my previous charity efforts. This one is closer to home with the wife of one of our own battling Ovarian Cancer, and her battle has highlighted how underfunded research into this terminal disease is. We decided to do something about it and on the 11th of October, I will join the great cycling team known as The King’s Men, where 50 of us will ride 400km over 2 days in support of her the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation. Any and all help with this cause I know will be greatly appreciated by those who need it most and in what is an ever growing arena for fundraising, the smallest amounts add up so thank you. Sometimes there are no words and all one can do is smile, give thanks and say take care of you and those close to you.
