Dear All,

On October 21st/22nd The King's Men, will set out with 50 riders tackling over 400km in 2 days for “Ride Different”

This year’s charity is close to home, one of our very own “The Knockers” wonderful wife was struck by ovarian cancer, a disease that with better funding really can help be prevented as it's all about early detection. It has rocked us all deeply and shows how fragile life can be. Knockers beautiful wife, Leane Flynn, is putting up a very brave public fight💪 to try to help others fighting this disease. So we’ve decided to help Leanne and her chosen charity - the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation🥰.

We may be known as The King’s Men and we love our little men’s self help group but without the amazing women in our lives we are certainly lesser men, so we are hoping we can make a difference here.

By way of brief background - ovarian cancer is the deadliest gynaecological disease. Every year, more than 1600 Australian women are diagnosed with the disease and it claims the lives of more than 1000. It is known as the silent killer because the symptoms are very vague: a little bit of bloating or lower abdominal pain. Without an early detection test, the disease is often found at a very late stage – and unfortunately the five-year survival rate is 45 per cent.

As always fundraising is an ever growing and crowded place in what is a very personal space. Any help with this cause is super special and if not this time then just send some love to those that need it in your life

Thank you.😀
