2019 Silver Style Event

Each year, the OCRF bring together our supporters and friends — including community ambassadors, major donors and corporate partners — to celebrate the latest progress in ovarian cancer research made possible by their ongoing support.

The 2019 Silver Style event was held on the 13th of November at Eureka 89. The incredible skyline views of Melbourne CBD and beyond made this a truly special evening. A highlight of the evening was the presentation of cheque for $1,408,759, by Simon Schofield of Witchery, following a very successful 11th White Shirt Campaign in 2019. The cheque was presented to Lucinda Nolan CEO and Chair of the OCRF, Julie Toop.

Julie recognised that this unique relationship with Witchery “has seen the White Shirt Campaign evolve into one of Australia’s best known and most effective cause related campaigns.”

The 2019 campaign received unprecedented media coverage and we were thrilled to have the Honourable Julie Bishop MP involved in the campaign and then sign on as an official OCRF Ambassador. With plans well underway for the 2020 White Shirt Campaign, we look forward to continuing this integral partnership with Witchery.

This year we also paid special tribute to OCRF community Ambassadors, Lindy Spicer and Kel Pittman. These women have made outstanding contributions as they continue to advocate and fundraise tirelessly for the OCRF.

Special thanks to our many supporters who donated auction prizes for the evening, as well as our major partners, Witchery, Georg Jensen, Simson Cards, oOh Media, Marie Claire and SmoothFM.

It is through the ongoing generosity of our supporters and the collaboration with funding bodies, government, corporate partners and scientific advisory committees, that we can continue our mission. Funding innovative ovarian cancer research to save women’s lives through early detection and personalised treatment.

Thank you to everyone who made this year’s Silver Style Event such a wonderful success, and thank you to all those who continue to support the OCRF’s vision: every woman, everywhere - free from the threat of ovarian cancer.
